My Thoughts:

Another epic continuation for the Air Awakens Series!!

As I’ve stated before, this series truly does get better & better with each book!

This 4th installment does have a darker and slower pace to it, but with the fast-pace of the previous titles it does not take away from the epic story-telling Elise crafts into each and every book!

This book starts off 2 months after Earth’s End. Vhalla, who ran to escape her past, comes to know a woman by the name of Gianna and stays in her bookshop for the time being to not only move on from Alrdik but to figure out who she is and who she wants to be.

While I love each and every book of this series, what sets Water’s Wrath apart is while it is classified as YA, in this novel you see the characters come to face/accept very adult situations and make very grown up decisions.

But that is why I loved it so much!! Comparing this book w/ Air Awakens, you really see how the characters have grown and matured!

Similar to Earth’s End, character development plays a huge role in this novel & while the plot is still there and brings even much higher stakes to be seen in Book 5, it does take somewhat of a backseat!

In this novel you definitely get a lot more back story to Aldrik and see why he is the way he is!

The love between Vhalla and Aldrk is still there, but in this novel you really see how they build it up again and come to better understand each other.

Vhalla comes to strengthen ties with the friends she’s made and come to better understand who she is.

Now onto the plot (not much spoilers!)

With Vhalla still in possession of the crystal axe Achel, you see just how big a role it plays in the overall scope of the Air Awakens series!

Bonds/alliances are forged, deals are made, lines are crossed, some tears are shed, but also by the end it builds up to what I know will be an epic conclusion for Book 5!

*I did take away 1/2 a star b/c I flew through the previous books yet this one took me a little longer to get through*
