***SPOILERS AHEAD***

This comic had been on my radar for quite some time!

I’m glad I finally got around to reading it!

Filled to the brim with action and adventure, the journey Selim and Delilah embark on never has a dull moment. Not only the setting, but the characters as well come to life with each page of this comic!

If you’ve read/enjoyed Noelle Stevenson’s work such as Nimona, Delilah will definitely immerse you/keep you entertained! I found both to have a similar sense of humor!

My favorite part of this comic was seeing Selim&Delilah visit various locations such as Constantinople, Turkey and Greece! They truly came to life on the page!

In terms of plot, it was fast-paced and really gives you a sense of adventure! Selim, a former Sultan guard, changes along the way. Not usually one to take risks he joins Delilah as they sail in a flying ship and he learns more about himself and what he wants in life, but also we come to learn more about Delilah and her history!

I really loved how their friendship developed. Because personality-wise they are so different, their wit and humor is very realistic and really shows more to their character!

I did take away 1/2 a star b/c there was magic/some sort of fantastical element introduced early/mid-way through and I just wish it was expanded on.

Overall this comic delivers a fun action/adventure filled plot with settings/characters that have such a great depth to them and you will definitely want to get volume 2 to continue the adventure!
