The choices before Vhalla are no longer servitude or freedom, they are servitude or death. ***SPOILERS AHEAD***

My Thoughts: I’ve literally just finished the book while writing this review, so sorry ahead of time if my thoughts are all over the place! ❤

Okay so in book 1 we come to know Vhalla Yarl the apprentice and the power she possesses as one of the last Windwalkers.

In book 2 we see her in the middle of war, while strengthening the bonds she created with her friends, new and old, and brewing love interest Prince Aldrik!

In book 3 we see Vhalla even stronger and but still the same Vhalla from Book 1, now fighting for her freedom!

With the way Fire Falling ended, I was heartbroken, but once I finished Earth’s End I was a mess!!

As with the previous novels, character development is key. However, in Earth’s End it is definitely the driving force of this novel.

With the ending of Fire Falling the only thing that was on my mind was

What Happened To Prince Alrdik??

Is my Prince okay?? 😥

As the story progresses I was crying tears of joy when Aldrik was still alive!! ❤ ❤

With Vhalla having spent months w/ the Majors and Golden Guard, they come to respect her and acknowledge/celebrate all that she has done for them.

Though Vhalla continues to grow stronger, we still see moments of uncertainty and vulnerability from her. Especially when it comes to a point where she begins to question her part in the war.

I also loved the bonds between Vhalla and all her other friends that continues to strengthen with each book! + I also loved the introduction to a new character Jax!

Vhalla and Aldrik continue to develop their relationship and as the story progresses he asks her to marry him!! ❤ ❤

However, Emperor threatens to keep Vhalla under his rule and ensure she never receives her freedom.

Now to the ending!! 😥

The Emperor’s threat to Vhalla was in the back of my mind, but after a while I completely forgot about it.

Then when we are on the last few chapters, we see what the Emperor had been planning all along!

I cried so much when Aldrik/Vhalla argued and it was revealed he wouldn’t be with her anymore!! 😥

In terms of pacing, there was never a dull moment and each scene flowed perfectly! In terms of world building, more territories/magic are explained and developed wonderfully!

With each book it is clear to see, that Elise is really building and expanding the world at a great pace. With the introduction to new characters, etc. it always flows perfectly w/ each book!

Now I Need Book 4!!!

Overall this was a wonderful continuation in the series!

The characters/world continue to develop and the stakes keep getting higher and higher!

Cannot wait to see what Elise brings for Book 4!
